Batang, salah sijine kabupaten kang ana ing Jawa Tengah duweni sejarah. Manut cerita, ing jaman biyen ana kerajaan sing jenenge Kerajaan Mataram Islam. Rajane yaiku Sultan Agung Hanyokrokusumo. Wektu kuwi Sultan Agung lagi nyiapake prajurit-prajurite kanggo nyerang prajurit Belanda ing Jakarta sing biyene arane Batavia.
